Pierre Moreau is an executive board member of the Haiti Solidarity Network of the Northeast (HSNNE). He was born in Port-de-Paix, Haiti. He graduated with a BA in Education and Sociology from the State University of Haiti in 1965. He was also a former High School Teacher in Port-de-Paix. He worked from 1968- 1970 as a consultant to Adult Education with the Board of Education in Kinshasa, Republic of Zaire, Africa. He received a diploma in Social and Economic Service in Cooperation & Social Service in Montreal, Canada and diploma in Cooperatives and Labor Studies from the Afro Asian Institute in Tel-Aviv Israel. In the United states from 1981-2012 he received extensive training in various areas of Immigration Services.
He is fully accredited representative by the Board of Immigration and Naturalization Service since 1985. Over the years he has held many positions in the community championing for the immigration community including the role of a bilingual and immigration counsel. He is currently an accredited immigration counselor at Catholic Charities, Archdiocese of Newark, New Jersey.
Pierre Moreau is an active parishioner and one of the founding members of the Haitian Community at the Parish of St. Patrick and Assumption/All Saints in Jersey City, NJ. He is also a member of the Parish Council. Mr. Moreau has spent his life committed to the Haitian community and the community at large.
