Rev. John B. Martin


Rev. John B. Martin (Pe Jack, Padre Juan) is a Catholic priest of the Archdiocese of Newark, NJ. Born & raised in Park Ridge, NJ, Fr. Jack was active as an altar server and youth group leader at OLM parish. Upon graduation from Park Ridge HS, he attended Notre Dame U. for two years, and then transferred to Darlington Seminary to be ordained in 1965. His first assignment was OLL, Verona. He went on to urban assignments in Newark Jersey City and Elizabeth. For five years he worked as an associate of the Maryknoll Fathers in Central America. Upon returning home from the missions, he went on a trip to Haiti and was moved to soon to become a co-founder of Haiti solidarity network of the Northeast. Now retired, he remains active as HSNNE president.
